Property description

The Anchorage is a luxury wheelchair-accessible coastal  cottage situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just a few minutes walk from the town centre and promenade.

The Anchorage has a light, open-plan design with hard flooring throughout. The living/dining area has a comfortable leather sofa, riser-recliner chair, armchair with footstool, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the front of the property, and dining table with free-standing seating for four.

The open-plan space also has a stylish accessible kitchen with wheel-under lowered sink, wheel-under and height-adjustable hob, side-opening oven with pull-out worktop, and remote-control cooker hood. Two sets of bi-fold doors lead onto the wrap-around wheelchair-accessible decking with garden views.

The Anchorage has an accessible bedroom with electric adjustable double or twin beds, memory foam mattresses, touch-sensor lamps, TV, and en-suite wet-room.

The wheelchair-accessible wet-room has a roll-in Rainforest style shower with separate hand-held shower attachment, wheel-under washbasin, two drop-down grab-rails for WC, Chiltern Invadex Shower chair, static shower chair, and portable grab-rails.

The Anchorage has a twin bedroom with full-size single beds, and an en-suite shower room with low-level entry shower tray, Rainforest shower head, washbasin, and WC. The cottage also has a separate cloakroom with WC and washbasin.

The Anchorage has delightful accessible outdoor spaces including wrap-around accessible decking which can be accessed from the front of the property, or via either of the bi-fold doors in the living/dining room. The cottage has private gardens with lawns areas and open views, and a private hard-standing driveway with ramp and handrail leading to the front door.

The Anchorage is located close to the centre of the pretty coastal town of Cromer with accessible pier and promenade, independent shops, local cafes, restaurants,  and two blue flag beaches.

This wheelchair accessible bungalow is tastefully furnished and the owners have worked hard to make it as accessible and homely as possible. It is very rare to find suitable accommodation which also ticks the luxury box in every room! There are some real treats in store for holidaymakers looking for somewhere cosy to hole up while they explore Cromer and beyond.

Just spent a week at The Anchorage in Cromer such stylish accommodation and felt like a home from home. Everything had been well thought out so you didn’t have to worry about a thing. There were lots of information books about the area so we could find places to go each day. A very enjoyable stay for the whole family.

We stayed at The Anchorage. What an amazing home! Beautifully done to an excellent standard. Based on our experience we have already booked with Crabpot Cottages for next year!

This is an absolutely fantastic facility for a chair user. Our focus was the accommodation and facilities rather than holiday in Norfolk. Quality, cleanliness, very dog friendly, close to Cromer town centre, really couldn’t have asked for more.

Absolutely would recommend, very modern, exceptionally clean, with all amenities you would need. Our son is a full time wheelchair user, we hired a hoist, and everything was perfect. Area very nice, lovely garden.
