How do I search for properties to find the right one for me?

You can access our website to search for holiday properties by entering details including Destination, Number of Bedrooms and Party Size. You can then use our unique advanced search filters will help you find properties which can meet your very specific requirements. You can have direct access to property owners or managers by clicking on the property’s website, the embedded contact form with dates enquiry, or contacting them by phone.

Is there a booking fee?

No, Accessible Holiday Escapes does not charge a booking fee or take commission on bookings. The price you pay is the amount you agree directly with a property owner or manager (you may be required to pay a booking fee to a property manager or agency). We do not act as property agents or a travel agency.

How can I book a property?

You book properties you view on Accessible Holiday Escapes directly with the owner or manager using their chosen booking system. This may include an online booking portal, a deposit system, or a booking form.

Who do we contact before we arrive?

All booking details will be provided directly by the owner or manager and contact information and arrangements will be managed by them.

How can I cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel a booking you will need to make contact directly with the owner or manager. We recommend travel insurance in the event you have to make a cancellation.

What if we are not happy with our property or experience problems during our stay?

Complaints information will be provided by the owner or manager within the booking details. We recommend contacting them straightaway so that potential problems can be resolved immediately. Please see Terms and Conditions for clarification of booking terms.

Can I provide feedback on my holiday?

Yes, we would value positive feedback to enable other holiday makers to hear the views of travellers who may have similar requirements or needs. If you would like to write a review of a property found on Accessible Holiday Escapes please email us your comments which can then be added to a listing. We do ask that all feedback is fair, relevant and legally acceptable.

How do I list my property with you?

Simply contact us by email, via our embedded contact form, or message us on social media and we can guide you through the quick and simple process of listing your holiday property with us. We create your bespoke listing, and love working with our property owners/managers to ensure they are 100% happy with their listings. Once your property is listed, minor amendments can be made at any time at no additional charge.

Does Accessible Holiday Escapes charge commission for bookings?

No, you retain 100% of the income from every booking! As a property owner you simply pay an annual listing fee (from as little as £130). All enquiries will come directly to you and ensure you have flexibility and control over your calendars and bookings.

Does Accessible Holiday Escapes charge users a booking fee?

No, there is no fee added by Accessible Holiday Escapes onto the prices you advertise on your listing and it is a free-to-use website. Holiday makers pay the amount you quote without any additional fees or commission charged by us.

Do I have to create the listing myself?

No, we can create a bespoke listing so you can see how we can promote your property. You can then view and approve your listing prior to publishing live. We can make minor amendments to your listing at any time at no additional cost. We often add new reviews, photos, etc, to listings.

How much does it cost to list with you?

Listing price for 1 or 2 bedroom properties – £130

Listing price for 2 bedroom properties – £140

Listing price for 4 or 5 bedroom properties – £150

Listing price for 6+ bedroom properties – £160

Listing price for 10+ bedroom properties – £170

What is included in the listing fee?

The fee covers the cost of creating your bespoke listing, advertising your property for 12 months, minor updates or amendments when needed, unlimited enquiries via our website, and providing contact details to potential holidaymakers. Users can access the website 24/7 and make contact with you directly by visiting your website or using the embedded contact form. You have exclusive access to a closed Facebook group for Accessible Holiday Escapes owners/managers to post last minute availability or special offers.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made by bank transfer or Paypal.

Do you charge for amendments or updates?

We are happy to make minor changes or updates to improve your listing and the appeal of your property at no extra cost. Owners often ask us to add new photos, reviews or content which also helps refresh your content and SEO. We will only charge an admin fee for major changes, re-writing of content, etc.

Do I need my own website?

No, users of the site can still make contact with you via the details you will provide when we are creating your listing (email enquiries through your embedded contact form or messages via your telephone number). If you create a website at a later date you can add a link to your listing for no additional charge. Some property owners have inserted their Facebook business page as a weblink, or use their OTA agency booking page as the website link.

Do you offer a discount for multiple properties?

Do you deal with enquiries and bookings?

No, we provide your contact details through the listing. Holiday makers can contact you directly or visit your website. This ensures you retain control over your bookings, and holiday makers can be entirely sure your property meets their specific needs. Please see Terms and Conditions for further information.

Can holidaymakers book through your website?

No, holiday makers make direct contact with you or your property manager via your bespoke listing. This enables you to establish a rapport with guests and ensure your property is suitable for them.

Can you take payments for me?

No, this is done directly with your guests.

How do you market Accessible Holiday Escapes?

We actively market Accessible Holiday Escapes in a wide variety of ways and appear on page 1 of Google when an organic search is carried out for ‘wheelchair accessible holidays’, or ‘accessible holidays’.

The accessible tourism industry is worth £15.3 billion in the UK and 1 in 5 people in the UK have a disability. We have access to a huge target market via social media and the disability community. We advertise in appropriate venues and within specific groups; and successfully use marketing campaigns which include Facebook ads, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram and regularly reach a massive target audience. Owners/managers have exclusive access to a closed Facebook group to post last minute availability or special offers.

All new listings, news, blog posts, and discounts/offers from owners are emailed to our website subscribers. We have advertised in Enable Magazine with a targeted circulation of 30,000 readers. We also feature on a number of partner websites including Access Advisr and Skiggle. We were featured on ITV News Wales, and following our TV appearance featured twice in the business pages of the Daily Post newspaper. We featured in the local media again when shortlisted as National Finalists in the Rural Business Awards in 2020/2021, and again when named as National Winners. We have recently recorded a podcast and featured on the RBA YouTube channel.

We have worked collaboratively with some high profile disability bloggers/influencers, and have been involved with an accessible tourism article in Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
