Property description

Holly Cottage is a beautiful accessible property with light and airy open-plan living area overlooking the Brickhouse lake.

The cottage has an expansive open-plan living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor with easy access into the ground floor bedroom and onto the private patio with views of the fishing lake.

The living room guests has a corner sofa, high-backed armchair, and wall-mounted 40” Samsung LED TV (riser/recliner chair available to hire). The modern fully-equipped oak kitchen has a side-opening oven, dial control hob, and contemporary dining table with seating for four.

Holly Cottage has a spacious ground floor twin/double bedroom with profiling bed and ceiling hoist leading into the large en-suite accessible wet-room.

The wet-room has a step-free shower, fixed grab-rail for shower, wheel-under washbasin, drop-down grab-rail alongside raised WC, and a lowered accessible bath with ceiling hoist access. (A mobile hoist and mobile shower/commode chair are available to loan).

Holly Cottage has a very large twin/double bedroom on the first floor with modern en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have luxury pocket sprung beds and TVs.

Holly Cottage has level access onto a south-facing private patio overlooking the private Brickhouse Farm fishing lake; and guests can enjoy a private hot-tub with tracking hoist on the rear patio. Each cottage has private parking, and a drop off/pick-up point.

Holly Cottage is one of 12 accessible cottages situated at Brickhouse Farm Cottages where guests can enjoy an accessible hydrotherapy pool with hoist (for private hire).

‘Lakeside Bistro’ is a newly developed accessible bistro with level access throughout, a Changing Places facility, lift to the first floor, table raisers and specialist cutlery.  The farm has a fully-stocked accessible fishing lake, and a recreation area within an enclosed field with a swing set, trampoline, and football nets.

Brickhouse Farm Cottages are set in a peaceful rural location, yet are a short distance from numerous local attractions. It is a short drive into the famous seaside town of Blackpool with the accessible Sandcastle Waterpark (with hoist), Illuminations, Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Zoo and so much more.

The cottages are also in an ideal location to explore Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve, the coastal town of Cleveleys, pretty St.Anne’s and Lytham, and the historic university town of Lancaster.

Another fantastic break at Brickhouse Farm Cottages. Our fifth visit and second in Holly. Brilliant facilities, the H frame hoist is so easy to use and we also managed to use the hot tub. As usual the accommodation was spotless, can't wait to return. Thank you Erica, Grace and the army of staff who really do make sure your stay is as relaxing as it can be.

3rd year at Holly Cottage, what a lovely and friendly place, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I would so recommend a visit and stay at Brickhouse cottages. All adapted for wheelchair access and hoists even access to hot-tub which my daughter loved.

We stayed as a party of 3 in Holly Cottage. Brickhouse Farm Cottages are the perfect setting for a break away in the country with easy access to the coast. The cottage was beautiful. Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and well equipped for our needs. The hot tub is a lovely addition. Perfect place for a relaxing break. Loved the peace and tranquility and the ducks! Would not hesitate to book again.

Our 4th year at Brickhouse Cottages and stayed in "Holly" this time, it was so spacious and had a great hot tub which we used each day. Nowhere like it for disabled holidays needless to say we have rebooked for next year.

Absolutely beautiful place. The staff are so friendly and just 'get it' which is so rare. Nothing is too much trouble. The actual cottage was just perfect, everything we needed including profiling bed which is not easy to find. To top that it was clean, fresh, homely and modern which again adds to the experience. The park is super, location perfect for accessing fun activities and still quiet and relaxing and highly recommend the bistro. A wonderful place which really helps make disability feel less disabling.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay staff are so friendly and helpful, and the new Bistro is excellent.
