Property description

Stables Cottage is a luxury 5* Gold cottage with stunning original features and far-reaching countryside views.

Stables Cottage has a cosy living room with comfortable sofas and armchair, cosy wood-burning stove, TV, and double height ceiling. The living room leads around into the open-plan kitchen/dining room with stunning beamed ceiling, modern fully-equipped kitchen, and dining table with free-standing seating for six.

The cottage has a spacious twin bedroom on the ground floor which can also be reconfigured as a superking-size bedroom, adjacent to this bedroom is a spacious accessible wet-room with step-free shower, fixed grab-rail for shower, shower with hand-held shower attachment, and underfloor heating.

Equipment such as a portable toilet frame, shower stool and raised toilet seat are available to loan. (Further accessibility information and a Matterport virtual tour is available in the ‘Summary’ section below).

Stables Cottage has a master suite with king-size bed on the first floor, and a large family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. A put-up bed or travel cot can be placed on the spacious landing outside the master bedroom to accommodate additional guests.

The cottage is dog-friendly and has a delightful private patio area with outdoor dining furniture, and level access to the parking area.

Directly opposite Stables Cottage is a charming seating area with benches and a feature ‘fireball’, and a large lawned area. Children can also find out more about the farm animals and will be able to spot the resident chickens, sheep and sometimes piglets!

The Stables is one of five luxury cottages situated at Broadgate Farm Cottages, perfect for multi-generational holidays and large group get-togethers, with a range of activities available to book including spa services and a private chef.

Broadgate Farm Cottages are situated in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, just one mile from the pretty village of Walkington with picturesque duck pond, local pubs and village shop/post office; and only 2 miles from the market town of Beverley with pretty cobbled streets and popular local markets.

The cottages are ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds, Dales, Moors and coastline; and the historic city of York is within easy driving distance.

We stayed in the Stables, everything about the cottage was perfect, beautifully furnished and with every home comfort. There is a private courtyard garden with lovely flower beds. My husband is seriously disabled and uses a wheelchair but the ground floor bedroom with adjoining wet room were ideal for his needs, both bathrooms were of the highest specification.

The Stables accommodation was fantastic and the family and wider team very welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend these cottages to anyone. Really one to remember and we will return.

Broadgate Farm cottages are just lovely. Four of us stayed in The Stables with our two dogs. Fitted with good quality fixtures and fittings, comfy beds and large leather sofas, the Stables was super clean. The cottages are in a beautiful area of Yorkshire, we walked into Beverley through Beverley Westwood where cows wonder freely, stopping for a drink on the way back at the Woolpack pub where both us and the dogs received a warm welcome. The coast is within easy reach and there is a nice dog friendly beach at Fraisthorpe. Highly recommended we hope to return to Broadgate Farm in the future

Our grown up family plus 2 dogs stayed in The Stables. It was perfect for our needs, well equipped with quality crockery and glassware, and an endless supply of logs for the outdoor fire pit. Parking was easy, and the setting with views over the fields perfect. The cottages are well placed for exploring the area and within easy walking distance of Walkington with good dog friendly pubs available. We were made to feel very welcome and would certainly stay again.

I can only really echo the other rave reviews on here. We had a lovely stay here last week, everything was faultless. The information provided beforehand on the local area and the facilities in the cottage was great and really useful. The simple contactless check-in worked perfectly and was followed up by a warm welcome from the owner, Elaine. The cottage was absolutely spotless on arrival, and the welcome pack a lovely bonus. The kitchen was well appointed, the bedroom spacious and comfy, bathrooms were great and the living room was very nice. The outside private patio area was a very nice space too and the grounds in general were beautifully kept.

Stunning cottages and a lovely warm welcome from Elaine. So peaceful and the setting is idyllic with countryside views. We stayed in The Stables cottage for two adults and our son who is 5 years old, it was spot on! Clean, cosy, well equipped and a true home away from home. Would definitely recommend and return.

Stayed for a second time in the Stables as we like all ground floor accommodation. All furnishings were of a high standard, especially the bed, very comfortable! The welcome pack was indeed welcoming. The whole complex must be delightful in the summer weather.
