Canny Grouse Barn has level access into a spacious hallway leading to the ground floor accommodation. The barn has a stunning open-plan kitchen/dining/living space with the kitchen featuring open stonework, double-height ceiling, beams, and bi-fold doors leading onto the enclosed patio.

The dining table has free-standing seating and a pretty window seat with stunning views over open countryside. The accessible kitchen has two moveable cupboards which can provide wheel-under access to the hob and sink, a slide-and-hide oven, and a low-level microwave.

The barn has a cosy living room with leather sofas, armchair, wall-mounted TV, and stylish electric fireplace.

Canny Grouse Barn has a sliding pocket door leading into a spacious ground-floor bedroom with window and emergency exit door, electric super-king adjustable bed (can also be configured as twin beds), wheelchair-accessible dressing table, low-level hanging rail, and pull-out storage.

The adjacent wet-room has a sliding pocket door, step-free shower with low-level controls, fixed grab-rail for shower, shower chair, two wheel-under washbasins at differing heights (to accommodate manual or powerchair user), fixed grab-rails for washbasins, raised WC with wall sensor flush, and fixed grab-rail and drop-down grab-rail alongside WC. A wheeled shower seat/commode is also available to loan.

Also on the ground floor is a utility room with laundry facilities.

The barn has two further en-suite bedrooms on the first floor including a king-size bedroom (with en-suite shower room), and a super-king (or twin) bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. The upstairs cosy snug has a comfortable sofa, wall-mounted TV, and X-Box.

Guests can enjoy a level enclosed patio accessed through the bi-fold doors in the kitchen with outdoor dining furniture and panoramic countryside views. Canny Grouse Barn is situated on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park just above the rural village of Nateby with village pub, and is just one mile from the pretty market town of Kirkby Stephen in the Upper Eden Valley with shops, restaurants, historic sites, and a station on the historic Settle/Carlisle railway line.

Guests can explore the pretty villages, towns and stunning countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, Eden Valley and Cumbria, and also have easy access to the Lake District National Park less than one hours drive away.

Simply stunning. Canny Grouse Barn is a high quality conversion that manages to create a gorgeous mix of of upscale facilities with essential accessibility features. This really is a place that works for many guests with a wide variety of disabilities. It's a real 'family place'. The hosts Andrea and Paul are fabulous and they will do all they can to help you. A wonderful luxury property, we hope to return.

Wow! What a beautiful place. Lovely house, comfortable with excellent facilities for all of us. So many stunning views on all our walks, made possible with the Terrain Hopper. We are hoping to book for next year.

We have enjoyed walking in the beautiful countryside. The view from the kitchen/dining room is splendid with the everchanging landscape of sheep.
