Casa do Lago Villa

Casa do Lago is a large luxury wheelchair-accessible villa with spectacular views of the Silver Coast.

Casa do Lago has a stunning open-plan living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling doors overlooking the pool and coastline. The living room has comfortable sofas and TV, office space, and the dining room has a large dining table with free-standing seating.

The villa has a spacious fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast table and doors opening onto the private terrace with views. The utility room has laundry facilities and leads into a large garage with table tennis and football table, adult and children’s bikes to loan, and direct access onto the driveway.

The rear hallway has an indoor garden, separate WC, and feature staircase leading to the first floor. Guests can also access the first floor via the upper outdoor pathways.

Casa do Lago has a large ground-floor bedroom ‘The Lilac Bedroom’, with single electric profiling bed, second single bed, mobile hoist, spectacular sea views, and doors opening onto the terrace. The room also has a monkey pole, accessible clothes rail in wardrobe, and light switches can be controlled from the bed.

The Lilac Bedroom has an en-suite wet-room with step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, wall-mounted shower seat, drop-down grab-rails for WC, and height-adjustable wheel-under washbasin with integrated grab-rails.

‘The Blue Bedroom’, is a ground-floor queen-size bedroom also with accessible wet-room with step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, wheel-under washbasin in shower, and twin washbasins. Guests can loan a self-propelled shower/WC chair and tilting shower/WC chair with headrest support for use in either wet-room.

Casa do Lago has three south-facing bedrooms on the first floor, all with covered balconies and spectacular panoramic views. The king-size master bedroom has a sofa and en-suite bathroom with shower over jacuzzi bath, and twin washbasins.  ‘The White Bedroom’ is a twin bedroom with sofa, and en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle and twin washbasins.

‘The Triple Bedroom’ is a large bedroom with three sets of floor-to-ceiling doors offering spectacular views, three single beds, and a large sofa. The first floor also has a family bathroom with steam cabin and shower over bath.

Casa do Lago has wonderful outdoor spaces including a large fenced and heated infinity pool with uninterrupted coastal views, pool hoist, sun loungers, and children’s pool area. The villa has hard-standing pathways leading from the driveway to the gardens and accessible covered BBQ area with wheel-under picnic benches.

The enclosed children’s play area has a swing, seesaw, playhouse, slides, monkey bars, play equipment, and a shaded area with hammocks. Guests can also enjoy a six hole crazy golf course in the upper garden, and outdoor gym.

Casa do Lago is just one mile from the beach viewed from the villa, and two miles from the pretty seaside village of Foz do Arelho with beautiful sandy beach, saltwater lagoon, beachside bars, cafes and restaurants, and small local shops. The thermal spa city of Caldas da Rainha with shops, markets, museums and gardens is a ten minutes drive.

The medieval town of Obidos is also within easy driving distance of the villa, and guests can visit popular attractions such as the wheelchair-accessible Dinosaur Park at Lourinha. Accessible karting, surfing and scuba diving are all available locally

Casa do Lago is approximately one hours drive from Lisbon Airport and wheelchair-accessible airport transfers can be arranged (large taxi for 8 passengers and two electric wheelchairs; small taxi for four passengers and one wheelchair). Wheelchair-accessible vehicles can also be hired at Lisbon Airport.
