Property description
Flat Spaces is an award-winning wheelchair-accessible holiday bungalow in rural Hampshire, purpose-built to ensure luxury holidays for guests with accessibility needs with the motto ‘Access Assured’.
The spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen space has level access onto a private patio and gardens. Guests can enjoy comfortable sofas and TV, a rise-and-fall dining table with free-standing seating for 8, and an accessible kitchen with rise-and-fall worktops, low-level/side-opening oven, and wheel-under sink and hob.
Flat Spaces has three accessible bedrooms, including a bedroom with twin profiling beds, ceiling hoist into the en-suite wet-room, carer-call system, and level access onto the patio. A second bedroom with reinforced double bed also has a ceiling hoist leading into the en-suite wet-room, and a third twin/double bedroom also has an en-suite wet-room. All bedrooms have TVs.
The large en-suite accessible wet-room accessed by ceiling hoist from two bedrooms has a wheel-in shower, Clos-o-Mat WC, height-adjustable washbasin, fixed and drop-down grab-rails for WC and shower, double-ended bath accessible by hoist, shower trolley, wall-mounted shower seat, and tilt-in-space shower chair.
Guests can enjoy level access from the main living space and one of the bedrooms directly onto a wheelchair-accessible terrace and gardens. The terrace has a BBQ and outdoor dining furniture, and guests can enjoy uninterrupted countryside views.
Flat Spaces is situated in Ropley in the stunning Hampshire countryside with views across the famous Watercress Line Steam Railway. The terminus is right next door, with adapted carriages for wheelchairs and extremely helpful staff. You can enjoy a train ride to Alresford or see Thomas the Tank Engine!
Guests can also explore local attractions such as the New Forest, the beautiful South Coast and the medieval city of Winchester. Holiday homes, glamping and camping options are also available next to Flat Spaces.

We stayed here recently , it was brilliant! Has ceiling hoists, profiling beds, height adjustable table and work surfaces, massive wet room, changing bed and the people are lovely. Can’t recommend enough!!
The accommodation was of superior quality, well designed, spacious, yet homely. The open plan living area with a height adjustable kitchen, enormous height adjustable dining table and a cosy lounge was so inclusive - it allowed everyone to be together. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and can highly recommended it."
Flat Spaces more than met my complex needs and was a great space for three generations of my family to be able to enjoy a stress free holiday together in lovely surroundings. The boys particularly enjoyed the rides on the steam train and the children's train which runs alongside! We would recommend Flat Spaces to anyone who is disabled without hesitation, and we intend to return in the near future.

Really lovely house in Ropley (the pictures on the website do not do it justice). The facilities in the house are outstanding, they really have thought of everything.
