Property description

Hawthorn Cottage is a large luxury accessible property with expansive open-plan living areas and private hot-tub with hoist.

The cottage has a large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor with easy access into the ground floor bedrooms.

The luxury fully-equipped accessible kitchen has a lowered wheel-under sink and work-surface, side opening oven, and pull out work-surface; and a contemporary dining table with free-standing seating. The living room has two large sofas, an armchair, and wall-mounted 40” Samsung LED TV (a riser/recliner chair is available to hire).

Hawthorn Cottage has a ground-floor en-suite twin bedroom with profiling bed, accessible dressing table, and ceiling hoist leading into the large en-suite accessible wet-room with step-free shower, two fixed grab-rails for shower, wheel-under washbasin, drop-down grab-rail alongside WC, and raised toilet. A mobile hoist and mobile shower/commode chair are available to loan.

The second ground-floor twin/double bedroom has a luxury en-suite bathroom with lowered bath.

Hawthorn Cottage has three further luxury twin/double bedrooms on the first floor (one with en-suite shower room), and a family bathroom with shower cubicle. All bedrooms have luxury pocket sprung beds and TVs.

The cottage has level access onto a private patio with outdoor dining furniture facing the private Brickhouse Farm fishing lake; and level access onto a rear patio where guests can enjoy a private hot-tub with tracking hoist. Each cottage has private parking, and a drop off/pick-up point.

Hawthorn Cottage is one of 12 accessible cottages situated at Brickhouse Farm Cottages, and guests can enjoy an accessible hydrotherapy pool with hoist (for private hire).

‘Lakeside Bistro’ is a newly developed accessible bistro with level access throughout, a Changing Places facility, lift to the first floor, table raisers and specialist cutlery.  The farm has a fully-stocked accessible fishing lake, and a recreation area within an enclosed field with a swing set, trampoline, and football nets.

Brickhouse Farm Cottages are set in a peaceful rural location, yet are a short distance from numerous local attractions. It is a short drive into the famous seaside town of Blackpool with Sandcastle Waterpark (with hoist), Illuminations, Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Zoo and so much more.

The cottages are also in an ideal location to explore Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve, the coastal town of Cleveleys, pretty St.Anne’s and Lytham, and the historic university town of Lancaster.

Another fabulous stay at Brickhouse Hawthorn Cottage, absolutely love it, all my sons needs catered for - loved the hydro pool and hot-tub. Will be back soon.

We stayed in Hawthorn Cottage it was beautiful and the spec was a high standard, would be happy to recommend to anyone. The area was beautiful and many restaurants pubs etc, on the doorstep. Communication with the owners and staff was excellent and very easy to book! Love love love the place!!

Nothing short of idyllic. We have just returned after a weekend stay in Hawthorne Cottage and for the first time in my son's life he had all of his needs met. This place goes above and beyond. The fixtures and fittings were lovely and good quality, very tastefully as well as practically fitted out. The outlook onto the pond was so tranquil and the hot tub had a tracking hoist for easy açcess. I would recommend anyone staying here as it is just the best. Looking forward to booking again.

Fabulous place and facilities are excellent, if you have any disability and require wheelchair access or hoist then this place is simply perfect.

Amazing cottage rooms are lovely, really large bathrooms, amazing views. Well thought of for people with disabilities. Large kitchen and bedrooms, very clean lovely hot tub . Staff are all fantastic and friendly. Everything in the cottage you could ever wish for, it’s just fantastic.

Stayed here twice now and booking next year too. It's just perfect and much needed. They are such high spec, with little extras you need, it's very pleasurable, with the lake and very peaceful. Fleetwood shopping outlet is near by, and close enough to Blackpool. Also a pleasure to deal with.
