Property description

Hazel Cottage is a large property with private balcony overlooking the fishing lake, and private accessible hot-tub.

The cottage has a light open-plan living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor with easy access into the ground floor bedrooms and onto the private balcony and rear patio.

The lounge has two large leather sofas, a high-backed armchair, and wall-mounted 40” Samsung LED TV (riser/recliner chair available to hire). The luxury fully-equipped kitchen has a side-opening oven, touch control hob and one lowered worktop, and a solid wood dining table with seating for 8.

On the ground floor is an en-suite twin/double bedroom with profiling bed and ceiling hoist leading into an en-suite accessible wet-room. The large wet-room has a step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, wheel-under washbasin, drop-down grab-rail alongside raised WC (mobile hoist and shower/commode chair available to loan).

The cottage has a second twin/double bedroom on the ground floor with large en-suite shower room.

Hazel Cottage has two further en-suite twin/double bedrooms on the first floor (one with en-suite shower room and one with en-suite bathroom with large bath). All bedrooms have luxury pocket sprung beds and TVs.

The cottage has level access onto a private balcony directly overlooking the private Brickhouse Farm fishing lake, and level access onto the rear patio with private hot-tub and tracking hoist. Each cottage has private parking, and a drop off/pick-up point.

Hazel Cottage is one of 12 accessible cottages situated at Brickhouse Farm Cottages where guests can enjoy an accessible hydrotherapy pool with hoist (for private hire).

‘Lakeside Bistro’ is a newly developed accessible bistro with level access throughout, a Changing Places facility, lift to the first floor, table raisers and specialist cutlery.  The farm has a fully-stocked accessible fishing lake, and a recreation area within an enclosed field with a swing set, trampoline, and football nets.

Brickhouse Farm Cottages are set in a peaceful rural location, yet are a short distance from numerous local attractions. It is a short drive into the famous seaside town of Blackpool with the accessible Sandcastle Waterpark (with hoist), Illuminations, Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Zoo and so much more.

The cottages are also in an ideal location to explore Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve, the coastal town of Cleveleys, pretty St.Anne’s and Lytham, and the historic university town of Lancaster.

My family and myself have just spent a wonderful week in Hazel Cottage. Our two sons are both disabled. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, we didn’t want to go home, cannot wait to come back. Hazel Cottage met all of our needs, and being able to bring our two dogs on holiday was wonderful. Thank you to all of the staff.

We stayed in Hazel this year in May, absolutely beautiful! Staff went above and beyond. Our in-laws loved it so much they re-booked for next year while we were still on holiday!

Lovely, stayed in Hazel Cottage a couple of years ago, been twice now, has all we need. Nothing is too much trouble for the guys at Brickhouse.

The cottage was amazing, great for my wheelchair user husband with enough space to share with my daughter and her children. The hot tub was a welcome extra, just what we needed after the lockdown.

Just had a lovely week at Brickhouse Cottages. The amenities are fantastic for disabled guests, the best we've ever come across. Hot tub was lovely, we went in every night and our disabled son loved it!

Absolutely amazing!!! The accommodation allowed my immediate family to spend quality time together in a setting that met everyone’s needs. Plenty to do locally. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great break with our daughter. The accommodation was finished to a high standard and the surroundings were beautiful. The cottage we were in gave us the opportunity to take our daughter on a holiday with us in an environment that was fully accessible for her. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to our visit next year.

Excellent accommodation. Not found anywhere quite like it anywhere else as we need adapted accommodation for a wheelchair user. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Have spoken to many of the staff through planning and booking stages numerous times, and I can honestly say they are all so helpful and genuinely want you to have the best holiday possible.
