Property description
Manaros is a 4* accessible bungalow just a few minutes walk from the pretty village of Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula, known as the ‘Land’s End of Wales’.
The cottage has a light and spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and doors opening onto a sheltered patio. The large lounge/dining area has three leather sofas, a riser/recliner chair, a log-burner, and an extendable dining table with free-standing seating for up to 12.
The luxury fully-equipped kitchen has a large breakfast bar, low-level microwave, and double doors opening into a sunny conservatory with wicker sofas and additional access to the private patio.
Manaros has four en-suite bedrooms, including Ynys Enlli, an accessible twin/super-king bedroom with en-suite accessible wet-room with step-free shower, fixed grab-rails in shower, half-height shower screen, shower stool, drop-down and fixed grab-rails alongside WC, and fixed grab-rails for wheel-under washbasin. Ynys Enlli can also be rearranged to accommodate a profiling bed (at additional charge).
Manaros has three further twin/super-king bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, and a second accessible wet-room.
Manaros has a sheltered private patio overlooking open countryside with outdoor dining furniture and BBQ. The bungalow shares a plot with accessible One Dolfor and the two properties can be let together for large family or friends groups.
Manaros is the perfect base for exploring all that this stunning area of North West Wales has to offer, with a beautiful sandy beach and accessible promenade a few minutes walk or Tramper ride away. The pretty village has local amenities including a small shop, cafes and pubs.
Guests can enjoy numerous outdoor adventures including walking, cycling, watersports and golf, and holiday packages are also available.
A wide range of activities and attractions are available in the area including nearby Bardsey Island, miles of stunning coastline and pretty villages, the Isle of Anglesey, and the Snowdonia National Park.
This is first class accommodation in an area known and loved for its beautiful coastline and rolling green landscape. We were particularly grateful for the absolutely excellent facilities that Manaros offers for a person with disabilities, but, that aside, the house is brilliant all round. Peter and Simon manage the place wonderfully and are only too willing to be of assistance should it be required. I have just booked our third holiday here, and I would recommend it unreservedly.
The key draw to Manaros for me was the availability of a 4x4 mobility scooter, which would enable me to get on a beach for the first time in 10 years. I am a wheelchair user and struggle to find good, accessible accommodation. Manaros exceeded my expectations for this. I cannot fault the accommodation for accessibility. Not only this, but the accommodation was of a high standard, all floors were level and bathrooms suitably equipped, key components of a successful stay.
Absolutely great. I am disabled and managed really well. The shower was so good and bed really comfy. The rise and recline chair in the lounge was great as well. The village is cool and I got to explore it on the 'Tramper' buggy that came with the property.
I am disabled and was extremely impressed with the level of provision in the house. This is not a case of sticking a few grab rails in an existing property, the house has been designed and built to the highest standards and it shows. This is how accessible accommodation should be. Everything has been thought of and the Tramper is absolutely brilliant. I was able to go on several long outings and take in the beautiful scenery, even on a grey day the views are breathtaking and to return to a wood burning stove and underfloor heating is just bliss. I would highly recommend Manaros to just about everybody, we had 2 under 5s with us this time and they loved it. For anybody with any kind of additional needs or mobility issues it is fantastic and the owners are close by if needed.
A very spacious 'home from home'. Equipped to a high standard there was plenty of room for our family group of eight adults and a baby. In a quiet if hilly location there was sufficient off road parking for our four vehicles. Having a good sized conservatory and so extending the hours of natural light was a bonus. Although we had no need of the facilities, the features for any disabled clients appeared very thoughtful. The underfloor heating was efficient, although we enjoyed the wood burner in the sitting room. The kitchen area was fully fitted and easily facilitated cooking for our numbers. Overall: superb.
