Property description
Lime Lodge, Hawthorn Lodge and Oak Lodge at Mid Wales Lodges are three spacious 5* accessible lodges with countryside views.
The lodges have light and airy open-plan living/dining/kitchen spaces with vaulted ceilings, open beams, and double doors opening onto level decking.
The living rooms have sofas, riser/recliner chair, flat-screen TVs, countryside views, and cosy wood-burners. The dining tables have free-standing seating and each lodge has a stylish fully-equipped kitchen and utility room with laundry facilities.
Hawthorn, Lime and Oak Lodges have four large en-suite bedrooms, all with doors opening onto decking with uninterrupted countryside views.
The lodges have a family room (double bed and single bed/profiling bed), two king-size bedrooms, and a twin bedroom. A profiling bed, mobile hoist and specialist mattress are available to loan (please check availability prior to booking).
All four bedrooms have spacious en-suite bathrooms with comfort-height WCs, and walk-in showers (slight lip at entry to shower), two bathrooms also have a bath.
Mobility equipment such as sit-to-stand-aid, suction grab-rails, wheeled shower chairs (tilting and standard), adjustable-height shower stools, WC frame, and over-bed table are available to loan. All sockets and light switches are at accessible height.
Mid Wales Lodges have large wrap-around decking areas with panoramic countryside views, outdoor dining furniture, BBQs, private hot-tubs, and ramps leading to large lawns (one gantry hoist is available for use with a hot-tub, please check availability prior to booking).
Each dog-friendly lodge has two extra wide designated parking spaces directly outside the lodge and a large ramp leading from the parking spaces around to the entrance doors. The lodges are dog-friendly with lots of walks available locally.
Mid Wales Lodges are situated in a peaceful rural setting in the small village of Nantglas near the Elan Valley and mountains of Mid Wales. Guests can enjoy exploring the Elan Valley Estate dams and reservoirs, or visit the nearby market town of Rhyader set on the River Wye with cafes, restaurants and independent shops.
The lodges are just 15 minutes drive from the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, and a wide range of attractions and activities are available locally.

Had a lovely stay in this beautiful lodge. The surroundings are stunning and if you want to get away from it all and feel like you're away from civilisation then this is the place for you. The lodge is well equipped and very spacious, has comfortable beds and lovely hot showers. The hot-tub was well used and loved by the kids especially! Perfect accommodation for extended family especially as each room has its own bathroom. The owners, Richard and Helen were very friendly and easily reached by text when we needed to ask anything. Would recommend and would stay again.
What an amazing find. We were absolutely delighted with this wonderful well thought out and designed lodge, in such a quiet, peaceful location. There was so much space for the 7 of us, each of the very big bedrooms has its own extra large en-suite with enormous shower area making this a superb property for anyone with mobility problems. Richard and Helen are the perfect hosts, they have thought of everything. Beautiful large decking area with huge wooden table and chairs, and a fabulous hot-tub. If we could give a higher star rating than 5 we would. We highly, highly recommend this property.
We had the most amazing 3 night stay. From the friendly welcome to the superb surroundings and the lodge was so spacious. A very well thought out property down to the finer details. Whole property cleanliness was of high standard. Far enough for peaceful break but close enough to lots of things to do we went alpaca trekking, paddle-boarding and horse-riding all within a very short driving distance. We look forward to a return visit.
Hawthorn Lodge is an extremely comfortable property in a peaceful location. A lot of thought and attention to detail has been put in to the design of the accommodation, and there is plenty of equipment provided to make self catering easy.
