Red Deer Cottage is a charming single-storey cottage with panoramic countryside and lake views.

The cottage has a main entrance door with level access into a light and airy open-plan living/dining/kitchen room with high ceilings, open beams, original features, and doors onto the rear terrace (threshold ramp available). The cosy living room has a sofa, armchairs, Smart TV, and corner wood-burning stove.

The stylish fully-equipped kitchen has a wheel-under sink and a dining table with free-standing seating.

The cottage has a master bedroom with high ceiling, dual aspect windows, stunning views, and doors onto the terrace (threshold ramp available). The twin bedroom also has a high ceiling,  open beams, and feature windows.

Red Deer Cottage has an accessible bathroom with step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, static shower chair, drop-down and fixed grab-rails either side of WC, wheel-under washbasin and a bath (additional suction grab-rails are also available).

Guests at the dog-friendly cottage can relax on a South-facing enclosed terrace with panoramic countryside and lake views, outdoor dining furniture, and a BBQ. Step-free access to the terrace is also available around the side of the cottage.

Parking is available close to the cottage with level access routes, and an EV charger is situated on-site.

Red Deer Cottage is situated at Poltarrow Farm Holiday Cottages set in 45 acres of hills, farmland, and countryside; and is one of 6 luxury cottages converted from original farm buildings, including a second accessible cottage ‘Red Deer’.

Guests can enjoy a wide range of family-friendly facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool (with steps and hand-rail to access), and changing room and WC on the same level (the pool building has a step at entrance, a ramp is available).

The farm also has a sports hall with climbing wall, table tennis, short tennis, badminton, trampoline, basketball hoop, and pool table (step at entrance, ramp available); and a ‘Tumble room’ for under 5s with tunnels and slides, soft building blocks, Wendy house, games, and creative play.

Outdoor activities include an enclosed play area with pirate themed playhouse and slide, ride-on toys, scooters, bikes, sand pit, and see saw. The farm also has a private fishing lake with rowing boat, and farm trail with pond, woodland, meadows, and bird watching.

Guests can also enjoy meeting the farm animals with opportunities for feeding the animals and pony grooming.

Poltarrow Farm is situated in the small hamlet of St. Mewan just west of St.Austell and close to the South Cornwall coastline, with a choice of pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes drive.

The farm is ideally placed for exploring local attractions including The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, pretty towns and villages, and historic attractions. Guests are also within easy driving distance of the stunning North Cornwall coastline.
