The light and airy kitchen/dining room has rise-and-fall motorised worktops with hob and sink, slide-out worktop below the oven, and dining table with free-standing seating and wheelchair clearance (elephant feet available to raise the table). French doors provide level access to the rear garden.
Rose Cottage has a spacious accessible bedroom with single profiling bed (with side rails and pressure care mattress), ceiling hoist into en-suite wet-room, small medical fridge, remote control blind, flat-screen TV, and ‘Z-bed’.

A beautiful, new purpose built bungalow fully kitted out with hoist and wet-room and everything we needed to have a fantastic stay. A real home from home. Lovely quiet location, very close to Lowther Castle and easy access into the Lake District. Highly recommend.
Rose Cottage is a beautifully designed brand new bungalow, specifically catering for those with disabilities. It had everything we needed - a ceiling track hoist, profiling bed, wet-room with shower chair, a kitchen worktop that went up and down for wheelchair users. It also had so many little details that most people would never think of - a bedside lamp that turns on by touch, a medication fridge, a blind controlled by remote, and much more. Doorways are wide and there is plenty of space to move around in a powerchair. Best of all, it feels like a luxury holiday home rather than a hospital!
