Property description

Sara’s Cottage is a 5* award-winning cottage set in a peaceful location near the cathedral city of Truro and only 20 minutes from the stunning beaches of both the North and South coasts of Cornwall.

Sara’s Cottage has a spacious open-plan design including a stylish lounge with riser/recliner chair and cosy wood-burner, a modern fully-equipped kitchen, and dining table with seating for six. The south-facing conservatory has double doors leading onto a level patio and a private enclosed garden.

Sara’s Cottage has three spacious bedrooms (two en-suite) all with doors leading onto the private garden, and a family bathroom with free-standing bath (grab-rails and high bath step available).

One of the bedrooms is a large wheelchair-accessible room with en-suite luxury wet-room and direct level access to the garden. The stunning wet-room has a step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, washbasin and WC, drop-down grab-rail for WC, wheel-under washbasin, Aquatec wheel-in shower chair and commode, and WC seat raiser.

Sara’s Cottage is dog-friendly and has delightful outdoor spaces including a South-facing private patio with BBQ, outdoor dining furniture, and an enclosed cottage garden. The cottage has private parking and an Electric Vehicle Charging Point.

The cottage is very accessible to anyone with limited mobility and there is good wheelchair access, which is important for me and greatly appreciated. We highly recommend this cottage and give it top marks. Our little dog also rates it 5-star and loves lying flat out in front of the fire and keeping his eye on the many birds who visit the well stocked feeders in the garden!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sara's cottage, and the owners made us feel very welcome. They bent over backwards to accommodate our son, (who is profoundly disabled) to ensure he had a comfortable stay. The accessible nature of the cottage, allowed us all to stay on one level and gave ample room to move around in his manual wheel chair. The cottage was immaculate and the attention to detail was impressive. Fantastic central location with easy access to many of Cornwall's great attractions within striking distance. We found it hard to fault this cottage, and would not hesitate to book it again!

The standard of decor, comfort and cleanliness is exceptional and the owners ensure a warm welcome and help if needed. There is always something new to enjoy, and plenty of pretty finishing touches, and the garden and surroundings are very peaceful (lots of bird feeders - you can watch the birds from the comfort of the sofa in the comfortably furnished conservatory). The cottage is also very accessible for people with limited mobility and dog-friendly, both of which are essential for us.

Our New Years stay was perfect. It was so nice to enjoy the cottage a bit more this time and we certainly appreciated the exceptional service and standards they offer. The cottage was decorated in accordance with the season and the log burner was lit on arrival making the cottage toasty warm. The owners have plans for more improvements which will make the cottage outstanding, we would certainly recommend a stay!

We absolutely love Sara's Cottage and have been many many times. Haven't found anything to replace it and have stayed in a number of holiday cottages. The location is ideal to visit the coast on all sides as well as being away from it all, so peaceful. The cottage is immaculate inside and out. Perfect in every respect.

Sara’s Cottage really is like home from home. The cottage is very well appointed, comfortable and spotless. The hosts Diane and Terry are friendly and able to offer suggestions for places to go or for meals out. The cottage is excellently situated for getting around Cornwall but if the weather isn’t great you couldn’t ask for a nicer environment to sit and watch the wildlife in the garden. Throughly recommend a stay - 5 star!

A beautiful countryside location for this spacious cottage, perfect home from home for your holiday! We stayed in the winter and we arrived to a warm glowing fire, cream tea and a comfy bed! You can sit in the conservatory & watch all of the wildlife. There is furniture outdoors for the summer months, a BBQ, sun loungers and all of the extras: picnic bag, blankets, boogie boards, buckets & spades, games, books, maps, DVDs and MORE! Highly recommend this place! 10/10 cleanliness, 10/10 hospitality & 10/10 equipment!

We had a wonderful week at this amazing cottage. Everything about it is perfect and it was impeccably clean. The hosts (Diane & Terry) did an excellent job of making us feel at home but at the same time left us alone to get on with our holiday. This cottage gets 5 stars from us!!!!
