The Burrows Cei Bach is a spacious wheelchair-accessible bungalow centrally located on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales coast.
The Burrows has a spacious open-plan living/dining room with stylish corner sofa with two reclining seats, riser/recliner Porter armchair (can be moved from room to room and used with the ceiling hoist), Smart TV, dining table with corner bench, free-standing seating, and wheelchair space (riser feet are available for the dining table).
The living/dining room has a wide doorway leading into the open kitchen with side-opening/lowered oven, pull-out work-surface, side-opening microwave, side mounted tap, and pull-out storage.
The Burrows has an accessible bedroom with H-frame ceiling hoist, height-adjustable profiling bed with sides, chair bed which can be used as a full-size single bed with memory foam mattress, Smart TV, doors leading onto the garden, and en-suite wet-room. A Molift Smart mobile hoist is also available to loan.
The bedroom also has ten double sockets, two trollies, low-level hanging rails and storage, adjustable lighting, and space for a second profiling bed which can be hired locally.
A wide doorway leads from the accessible bedroom into a modern en-suite wet-room with step-free shower with dual-headed and low-level shower, fixed and drop-down grab-rails for shower, wall-mounted shower seat, drop-down grab-rails either side of long projection WC, wheel-under washbasin with fixed grab-rails, large low-level illuminated mirror, and second washbasin/medication area.
A tilt-in-space shower/commode chair and height-adjustable shower trolley are also available to loan.
The Burrows has a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and Smart TV, and a twin bedroom with Smart TV. The flexible family room has a double and single bed with electric foot-and-head recliners, patio doors leading to a small bench seating area, and Smart TV.
The family bathroom is a stylish second wet-room with step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for shower, shower chair with arms, fixed grab-rail for WC, and wheel-under washbasin.
All doors are either sliding doors or push-open doors with large grab handles. Additional mobility equipment can be hired locally and delivered to the bungalow prior to arrival.
The Burrows has large private enclosed gardens to the front of the bungalow which can be accessed via the front door, the living room, or the accessible bedroom.
Guests can enjoy a raised dining area leading off the living room, large lawns, a large outdoor dining/entertainment area with ramp access and sofas, and a children’s play frame with swing, slide and climbing frame.
The bungalow has a large hard-standing drive for 5-6 cars, ramp access to the front door and outdoor dining area, and widened hallway.
The Burrows is situated close to the village of Rhostrehwfa and two miles from the historic market town of Llangefni with shops, pubs, cafes, and twice weekly market. It is also within easy driving distance of the popular coastal towns and villages of Treaddur Bay, Rhosneigr, Benllech, Beaumaris, and Newborough.
Guests can enjoy exploring Anglesey’s stunning coastline and beaches, and numerous family activities and attractions.
It is a short drive over the Menai or Britannia Bridges to the cathedral city of Bangor with high street shops and retail park, the Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) and the spectacular Llyn Peninsula coastline.
