The Rings has a unique flexible configuration which can sleep up to 16 guests but can also be divided into a wide variety of sleeping options such as smaller apartments and studios. The two living areas can be opened up to create one large house with 8 bedrooms, all with en-suite wet-rooms.
Two of the large bedrooms at The Rings can be configured to provide The Topaz Studio and The Ruby Studio, independent studio apartment accommodation for two guests.
The Topaz Studio has an open-plan design and the living/dining room has a comfortable sofa, riser/recliner chair, wall-mounted TV/DVD, and dining table with free-standing seating. The accessible fully-equipped kitchen has a lowered worktop and accessible cupboards.
The studio has superking/twin beds and profiling beds are also available to loan. The en-suite accessible wet-room has removeable suction grab rails, step-free shower, and hand-held shower attachment (a wide range of shower chairs and additional equipment are available to loan).
The Topaz Studio can be linked with The Sapphire Room (with electrically adjustable beds) to create an apartment for four guests. Guests can enjoy French doors leading onto accessible decking, and the studio has a covered porch and external charging point at the entrance door.
The Ruby Studio also has an open-plan design with two tub chairs and dining table, wall-mounted TV/DVD, fully-equipped kitchen, ceiling tracking hoist leading into the en-suite wet-room, and superking/twin beds (profiling beds are also available to loan).
The en-suite accessible wet-room has ceiling hoist, step-free shower, accessible bath, removeable suction grab rails, wheel-under washbasin, and hand-held shower attachment (a wide range of shower chairs and additional equipment are available to loan).
The Ruby Studio can be linked with The Garnet Room to create an apartment for four guests. Guests can enjoy an independent entrance onto the accessible decking.
The Rings has a wide range of equipment available to loan including 5 profiling beds, Ur Zone safe space bed, variety of shower chairs, WC frame, and mobile hoist.
The Rings has accessible outdoor spaces with level decking surrounding the house, enabling guests to enjoy the stunning countryside views. The house is dog-friendly and an outdoor wash area is provided for pets and muddy boots. Laundry facilities are available in the utility room.
The house has private accessible parking with level access to the entrance and guests can pre-book use of a wheelchair-accessible car.
Bisset’s Barn is also situated at The Rings, an accessible playbarn offering farm experiences and education. Visitors can enjoy Changing Places facilities, sensory rooms, indoor accessible hot-tub (ceiling hoist due to be installed soon), and large open space with sofas and play equipment. Bisset’s Barn can be booked for exclusive use.
The Rings also has 6 wooden cabins sleeping 5 guests, and a large wild camping field with adventure play area.
The Rings is situated in a peaceful rural setting close to the picturesque market town of Cupar. The farm is within easy driving distance of the historic town of St.Andrews, and a little further afield are the bustling cities of Dundee and Edinburgh.
Guests can explore the East Coast of Scotland and a wide range of attractions and activities including wildlife experiences, water sports, whisky distilleries, historical attractions, family-friendly activities, and world famous golf courses.
Great place, located in wonderful undulating countryside, very peaceful. Generously sized studio apartment, very light and airy. Well equipped to high standard, friendly accommodating owners. Super for the less able.
This clever accommodation can sleep between two and sixteen people. It is fully wheelchair accessible and excellent for a break in Scotland. St Andrews, Dundee, Edinburgh are all within easy reach. In fact we went to Edinburgh on the train. Moira Henderson is a passionate hostess who is always available but never in your face. Each unit is flexible and all aids are available but it does not look 'disabled'. Discuss your requirements when booking.
This really is quite an incredible facility, indeed a marvel of design and flexibility. We spend a few days there as part of a family get together... just perfect. There are plenty of common living areas and excellent sleeping accommodation. Disabled access they have got just perfectly. It is peaceful and tranquil. If you cannot sleep you can always count the sheep in the adjacent field!!!! We were treated one morning with a display of one man and his dog! Highly recommended.
Stunning, fantastic, beautiful etc.... pictures just can't capture how lovely it is, also spotless inside and out will definitely come back. Owners are very pleasant and tried their best to make sure every arrangement was met before we arrived.
