Property description

Vesta View is a large luxury property with spectacular panoramic views over the Northumbria countryside.

Vesta View has a spacious living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides of the room, comfortable leather sofas, and a cosy wood-burner; and a dining area with large extendable dining table and free-standing seating.

The modern fully-equipped kitchen has two fan-assisted ovens and luxury touches such as a Nespresso coffee machine, and laundry facilities are available in the utility room.

Vesta View has five spacious bedrooms all with open views of the surrounding countryside. On the ground-floor is a super-king/twin bedroom with level access to the patio and an en-suite accessible wet-room with step-free shower, two drop-down rails alongside WC, fixed grab-rail for WC, wheel-under washbasin with two fixed grab-rails, and emergency pull-cord (a shower chair and WC raiser are available on request).

The second bedroom on the ground-floor is also a super-king/twin bedroom and has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Vesta View has three further en-suite king-size bedrooms on the first floor; all five bedrooms have luxury bedlinen, hypoallergenic bedding, and flat-screen TVs.

Guests can enjoy a private level patio which is accessed from the living room and also both ground-floor bedrooms. The patio has stunning views, outdoor seating, and a Kadai BBQ/Firepit. Vesta View has level parking for up to three cars, and an EV Charging Point.

Vesta View is located at Carraw Luxury Holiday Homes and a second self catering property ‘Shepherds Retreat’ is also available (all bedrooms and bathrooms on first floor).

Vesta View is ideally located to enjoy a wide range of local activities and attractions in the Northumberland National Park, and the line of Hadrians Wall National trail is adjacent to the property at the back of the farm.

Major heritage attractions along Hadrian’s Wall, and the nearby market town of Hexham (with 12th century abbey, restaurants, independent shops, markets, leisure centre and arts centre) are all within easy driving distance. Guests can also visit the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham, and the spectacular Northumberland Coastline is around 45 minutes drive.

Reviews

After many years of experience of holiday homes, we all agreed that Vesta View is the best. The booking process was straightforward and Leah is a kind and helpful host, while also mindful of visitors’ privacy. The house itself is immaculate and all 5 bedrooms boast superb en-suite facilities. We really appreciated the space and the accessibility of the downstairs bedrooms, which made holidaying with an elderly person with disabilities so much easier. The kitchen and utility areas are well equipped and we are already missing those 180 degree views from the lounge windows.

Just back from an amazing stay at Vesta View. Fabulous spacious house which was immaculate and very well equipped to a very high standard, Leah and Kevin have literally thought of everything. Plenty of space to cook and relax together and the bedrooms were lovely, all with en-suite facilities. We are a family group of 10 (3 generations) and the house was perfect for all of us. Would definitely recommend this as an amazing place to stay and the extra bonus is the fabulous view.

The wheelchair-accessible ground floor room is well thought out with good wet-room facilities. The views are stunning. Had a very relaxing evening sat in the lounge watching the sun cast beautiful shadows over the fells. Perfect.

Such a beautiful house! Well thought out supplies provided for the weekend. Beautiful views and a fantastic log-burner. We even got complimentary homemade chocolate cake and jams. 10/10…we’ll definitely be back.

Kevin and Leah’s beautiful home is arguably one of the best I have ever stayed in! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms which were absolutely immaculate. I would highly recommend Carraw to groups of all ages especially families. Carraw is an enchantment within its own right.
