Woodside Accessible Caravan

Woodside Accessible Caravan is a stylish wheelchair-accessible caravan set on a popular family park in the heart of the Northumberland countryside.

The caravan has ramp access and a wide access main entrance door leading into the light and airy living/dining room. The open-plan space has a corner sofa (with sofa bed), riser/recliner chair, gas fire, TV, and dining table with fixed bench and two stools.

The modern fully-equipped kitchen has a lowered worksurface, wheel-under sink, easy grip utensils, and adaptive cutlery. Guests can enjoy a welcome pack.

Woodside has a spacious accessible bedroom with single profiling bed, single bed with space below for the mobile hoist, wall-mounted TV, and sensory light. The caravan also has a double bedroom with beanbag.

The spacious accessible wet-room has a step-free shower, fixed grab-rail for shower, tilt-in-space shower chair, wheeled shower/commode chair, wall-mounted shower seat, shower stool, drop-down grab-rail and fixed grab-rails for raised WC, and wheel-under washbasin with fixed grab-rails.

Woodside has a small verandah with outdoor seating, and a picnic bench on the grassed area alongside the caravan (the bench can be moved to the paved area for accessibility). The caravan is dog-friendly.

The caravan has private hard-standing parking on a corner plot with space for most WAVs, and to the rear of the caravan is a locked storage box for unused equipment, oxygen, etc.

Woodside is situated at Riverside Wooler Holiday Park a short distance from the brand new park venue ‘The Canny Owl’. Guests can enjoy facilities including a bar and restaurant, family entertainment, swimming pool (with hoist), sauna, plunge pool (accessible changing rooms not currently available), soft play area, and games room/arcades.

Guests can also enjoy outdoor children’s activities, a large play park, riverside and woodland walks, fly fishing lake, and launderette. A supermarket is situated nearby.

Riverside Wooler Holiday Park is set in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland countryside close to the Cheviot Hills. The park is a few minutes drive from the medieval market town of Wooler on the edge of the Northumberland National Park with independent shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways.

Guests can enjoy exploring a wide range of activities and attractions locally, and visit the stunning Northumberland coastline with popular destinations such as Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick around 30 minutes drive away.
