This really is quite an incredible facility. Indeed a marvel of design and flexibility. We spend a few days there as part of a family get together... Just perfect. There is plenty of common living areas and excellent sleeping accommodation. Disabled access they have got just perfectly. It is peaceful and tranquil. If you cannot sleep you can always count the sheep in the adjacent field!!!! We were treated one morning with a display of one man and his dog! Highly recommended.
We stayed in the Opal room with the Henderson lounge. Just the two of us. One of us is in a power chair and we need the overhead hoist. Its perfect for this. Able bodied would also happily stay here. Excellent, modern accommodation. Lovely views/peaceful setting. Nice short drives to St Andrews and Dundee. Moira the host is very helpful/approachable. There is ample room for powerchair in the kitchen/living room. You can reconfigure it (moveable kitchen island). Very good access to fridge, kitchen cupboards, etc. for powerchair. Would definitely return.
This clever accommodation can sleep between two and sixteen people. It is fully wheelchair accessible and excellent for a break in Scotland. St Andrews, Dundee, Edinburgh are all within easy reach. In fact we went to Edinburgh on the train. Moira Henderson is a passionate hostess who is always available but never in your face. Each unit is flexible and all aids are available but it does not look 'disabled'. Discuss your requirements when booking.
We've just returned from an 18 night stay at The Rings, and we had a really lovely relaxing holiday. The property is so flexible in the accommodation it can offer, we booked two bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, a dining kitchen and lounge. Everything is modern, beautifully clean, and spacious and not only gives lip service to the wheelchair bound, but lives up to its promise. There was everything we needed for my wheelchair bound husband to be comfortable and relaxed. Peaceful scenery surrounds you, with loads of places within easy reach and suitable for visiting with a wheelchair. We also took our small dog, who was also made very welcome. It's a winning combination and somewhere I would recommend for mentally, or physically, disabled members of the community, to go to enjoy the excellent facilities and feelings of peace and quiet.
Stunning, fantastic, beautiful etc.... Pictures just can't capture how lovely it is, also spotless inside and out will definitely come back. Owners are very pleasant and tried their best to make sure every arrangement was met before we arrived.
Moira is such a delightful host where nothing is too much trouble. Our 3 bedrooms were all en-suite, spotlessly clean, with large spacious rooms and 100% wheelchair accessible. Hoist and tracking, choice of shower chairs, profiling beds with padded cot sides if needed, but is also great for able bodied guests. Dog friendly, beautiful views, peaceful but also not far from St Andrew's for sightseeing and shopping. Very highly recommended.
Just back from a fantastic weekend spent in The Rings celebrating my mum's 80th birthday. The rooms are large and airy and the facilities are second to none. Moira Henderson, owner, was wonderful, so polite and helpful and obviously enthusiastic about the premises. Would recommend to EVERYONE, but contact Moira herself for more details.
Great place. Located in wonderful undulating countryside, very peaceful. Generously sized studio apartment, very light and airy. Well equipped to high standard. Friendly accommodating owners. Super for the less able.
The Rings is an amazing place! Spotless and well thought out. As a wheelchair user I was able to participate in family life because they had thought of everything! Definitely recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!
