Lynchets Cottage has a stunning open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The living room has a sofa, armchairs, flat-screen TV, and cosy wood-burner leading to a dining table with free-standing seating. Lynchets has a stylish accessible kitchen with rise-and-fall/wheel-under worktops, sink and hob, ‘slide-and-hide’ oven door, and accessible cupboards.
Lynchets Cottage has a spacious twin/double bedroom with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, two single profiling beds, wheel-under dressing table, and en-suite wet-room. The large modern wet-room has a step-free shower, two drop-down grab-rails and fixed grab-rail for the shower, drop-down grab-rail for WC, and a wheel-under washbasin. (Height-adjustable static shower chairs are available on request).
The cottage has a second spacious bedroom with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, superking/twin beds, and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath.
Guests can enjoy a terrace with garden furniture, and a shared wheelchair-accessible courtyard garden. Private parking with an EV charger is located close to the cottage and accessed via paved pathways.
Lynchets Cottage is one of five accessible cottages situated at Wraxall Yard, all luxury barn conversions suitable for guests with accessibility requirements (including one cottage with ceiling hoist), with 11 bedrooms sleeping 22 guests in total. Guests can enjoy a riverside wheelchair-accessible boardwalk leading to an island picnic spot.
Wraxall Yard is an organic family farm and the original farmyard and barn have been restored to enable guests to take part in farming activities and meet some of the farm animals. The farm is perfect for multi-generational or group celebrations, and a large shared room and kitchen with wood-burning stove is available for cooking and eating together (up to 24 guests, must be reserved in advance).
Wraxall Yard is situated in the pretty village of Lower Wraxall which sits around a small chalk stream and Grade I listed building, St Mary’s Church. Local pubs and village shops are available within a few minutes drive.
Guests can enjoy exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including three nature reserves, the famous Jurassic Coast, the popular towns of Bath and Weymouth, National Trust properties, and numerous family activities and attractions.
Wraxall Yard is within easy driving distance of the vibrant county town of Dorchester on the banks of the River Frome with high street and independent shops, cafes, restaurants, museums, two cinemas and a thriving Arts Centre.
