Property description
Mountain Lodge is a purpose-built luxury lodge situated in a peaceful rural location with private accessible hot-tub.
Mountain Lodge has a spacious open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with a cosy wood-burning stove and plenty of space for any additional equipment required.
The living area has comfortable sofas and TV, dining table with free-standing seating, and the accessible kitchen has a ‘slide-and-glide’ oven, second sink, hob, height-adjustable/wheelchair-accessible worksurface and specialist kitchen utensils.
The lodge has three luxury en-suite bedrooms all with patio doors leading outside. The twin accessible bedroom has a single bed, profiling bed, looped tracking hoist leading into the wet-room, and a spacious accessible en-suite wet-room with step-free shower, wall-mounted shower seat, height-adjustable shower/changing bench, wheel-under washbasin, raised WC, and grab-rails.
The lodge also has a spacious king-size bedroom and en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath and walk-in shower, and an en-suite double/twin bedroom with walk-in shower.
Guests can enjoy private outdoor spaces including a sunny terrace with outdoor dining furniture, BBQ, private hot-tub with hoist, and paddock with lawns and a play frame. Mountain Lodge has a hard-standing drive and two allocated accessible parking spaces.
Mountain Lodge has also been developed as a specialist anti-allergen accommodation with anti allergen bedding, HEPA air filter and an extra mid-week clean. Dogs are not accepted in Mountain Lodge, but a second accessible dog-friendly property – Coastal Cottage – is located next door.
Lower Laurel Farm is situated in a peaceful rural location on the western edge of the Mendips, with easy access to a wide range of local activities and attractions. It is just 5 miles to the popular seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare, and only 30 minutes to the vibrant city of Bristol.

Our first visit and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful building, space to get round in my wheelchair and fantastic track hoist system. Jenny and Paul very helpful. This is still quite a new building so we gave feedback on a couple of things, and Jenny had them in place before we even got home. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to our next visit. This is an excellent place to stay for a disabled person and their carer and/or family. The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed for a wheelchair user. he owners are most helpful and friendly. The location is near to Weston-Super-Mare and many other places of interest. We have just had a wonderful week in Mountain Lodge and it has been perfect. The lodge is spacious and extremely comfortable with everything that I needed for my disabled son. We have just returned from a holiday at Mountain Lodge and cannot recommend this property enough for anybody with limited mobility.
