Property description
Horton the Caravan is a wheelchair-accessible caravan situated on the popular Bowland Fell Holiday Park in the Yorkshire Dales.
Horton has a comfortable open-plan living/dining area with sofas, cosy gas fire, TV, dining table with bench and free-standing chairs, leading into a modern fully-fitted kitchen with lowered and wheel-under worktop and sink.
The extra-large master bedroom has a double bed, single profiling bed (6 foot internal length), full room coverage H frame ceiling tracking hoist, and mobile hoist. The caravan also has a second twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge.
The accessible wet-room has a step-free shower, wall-mounted shower seat, wheeled shower chair/commode, fixed grab-rails for shower, WC and washbasin, drop-down grab-rail alongside WC, and wheel-under washbasin.
The dedicated parking space in front of the caravan is large enough for most WAVs and provides easy access to the gated ramp. The caravan is dog-friendly.
Horton is situated on the Bowland Fell Holiday Park in Tosside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with beautiful countryside and forest views. The park has a small on-site shop, bar and restaurant, children’s play area, and foot golf.
The on-site indoor swimming pool is not particularly accessible, but 20 minutes drive away is Settle Swimming Pool with hoist, accessible changing rooms, free accessible parking, and accessible entrance.
Bowland Fell is 15 minutes’ drive from the picturesque market town of Settle, 30 minutes from the historic town of Skipton, and just 45 minutes from the beautiful Lake District National Park.
The park is ideally situated for exploring the pretty towns and villages of the rolling Yorkshire Dales and Lake District, Forest of Bowland, the Emmerdale set, Gordale Scar, and the Ribblehead Viaduct.
